Coronavirus (COVID-19) Policies and procedures

In order to protect the families we serve, the General Public and our Staff, we will follow the directives received from Local, State and National health officials to reduce the potential of possible spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19). This policy will permit us to serve families in a fashion that will afford protection to all involved.

If you are sick, please stay at home. We are making every effort to ensure limited social interaction and possible exposure.

The following are our policies and procedures which have been established in response to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

If the cause of death is from the Coronavirus (COVID-19) we will assist the family in arranging for a direct cremation or immediate burial. We are not offering embalming or visitation as an option. If the family is arranging an immediate burial, we can schedule a graveside service and a funeral director will meet them and the clergy at the cemetery. If the family wants to arrange for a Memorial Service at a local church, we can assist them in making those arrangements. There will be no religious or funeral services scheduled in our facility for deaths attributed to Coronavirus (Covid-19).

In 1924, our family opened the first Ruck Funeral Home, dedicated to providing caring, compassionate and dignified service to our community. Today, we serve families from three locations in the Baltimore Area.
